Right. And you’re not alone with that anticipation.
Although, it’s tough telling when Rizzo might make his appearance from Triple-A Iowa, which is where he’ll certainly start baring a spring training injury to either Jeff Baker or starting 1B Bryan LaHair. If LaHair struggles early, however, Rizzo could be called up as earl as mid May. But if all is well at 1B…we might not see Rizzo until after the All Star break, maybe later? Right now it’s a wait and see game. But I’m definitely with you, can’t wait to see what this kid could do for the big club!

Oh man, glad to hear it!
You know, it’s funny Jerome’s rookie season followed him his entire career.
It was a magical and memorable run, as you’ll attest, which looked so promising for his future success.
That never happened, of course, at least not to the standard with which it appeared in 1989 as a 23-year-old rookie.
Each installment will post every Wednesday leading up to the Cubs’ lid-lifter on Thursday March 5th vs. Washington.

Yeah. I think there’s a good number of Cubs fans who share the same feeling.
However, I also think a good number of Cubs fans remember No.22 as Prior’s uni.
Funny enough, Buckner’s the one who had better luck wearing good ‘ol #22!

Oh wow, man! Cubs for the Wild Card. You’re really Fired Up, I like that:)
Truth be told, however, the Cubs are still climbing out of the mud some.
Let’s just say the ‘issues’ from 2011, and there were plenty, haven’t all reached satisfactory levels.
Of course it’s possible Chicago could surprise us in the standings, but a WC run?
Let’s wait & see how this team looks when the ground thaws out this spring.

Cubs 500. Or better Cmon man with Milwaukee losing braun for 50 gms and st Louis losing pujols I see the cubs ( putting together a better rotation than last year ) could get an early jump on the rest of the division reds are hot and cold let’s hope they’re cold at the beginning and end of the season this year ! Cubs Wild card ? Go Cubs Go !!!

Love me some Kerry Wood, for sure. Surprised, however, D-Lee remains a FA this offseason. I figured he would be signed by now. Starting to wonder if he’ll call it a career–or if MLB will decide that for him?

Good point about the jerseys. I don’t have an individual player’s uni myself, but I like the idea of going old school. Smart money, right!

Wood and Dempster and my two favorites right now. I miss D.Lee a lot too. I won’t buy jerseys of current players any more because of this. Instead, I have Dawson, Sandberg, Santo and Banks.
